Have a Question for you all … we can have up to 10 shops and we can also have different URLs for each one ie .co.u] .eu. de so if we have 1 shop and duplicate it and place in the different url extensions and currency for each shop will this get picked up by google and give us all more exposure in each country and better chance for more sales… ?
though the idea behind might sound promising, I cannot say that this will have an impact.
For Google, all Shops look somehow identic, when crawling through the content structure. (Pages, Subpages, filtered pages) etc.
Therefore it does not matter if you are using different toplevel domains(country specific) It is even more likely that Google finds out that the content within the shops is identic.
The algorythm will not only be unable to decide which of these shops is more relevant, it probably will not rank any of your Shops.
My general advise is to embedd the shop into a website and use this as a central starting point to create SEO optimized content.
