Hi, I’m trying to understand if we can create a store without our own website, or does having a store completely depend on having a hosted website to sync it with? I only want to create a basic store. For some reason a definitive answer to this eludes me.
Also, is there an easy way once our store is stocked to copy inventory to the Marketplace? Or do we have to do everything again from scratch to sell in both places?

No, you absolutely do NOT need a own website. The URL of your stand-alone shop will be of the sort of https://shop.spreadshirt.com/SpreadShop/
The top level domain can be chosen depending where most your customers are based.

Sorry to be a pain but I’m new to Spreadshirt/Spreadshop, so if you don’t mind a couple more questions…
Can we remove reference to Spreadshirt in footer or is this option available only when using a separate website?
Also am I right in understanding that the images of our designs can simply be clicked on and downloaded? I used another API in the past and they had simply made it so that the image could not be just clicked on and saved/downloaded which encourages thieving of intellectual property. Wouldn’t it be very simple coding to make that image NOT downloadable and provide protection and peace of mind for shop owners, if this is the case?
I would really love to proceed finishing my shop and I think the video said that we can enable both Marketplace and the Spreadshop at the click of a button? I am considering doing both. I’m really excited by the product range on offer and I’m keen to finish setting up.

You can remove it via CSS in the Advanced Settings
Yes, you can add your designs to the Marketplace in selecting all of them and publishing them to the Marketplace. You first need to activate your Showroom though
The image of your design on the product can be downloaded. Such feature isn’t planned in the near future.
Lena, do you mean that people can download the design when it’s ON the products (like on a t-shirt), BUT NOT the designs on it’s OWN (which allows people to steal designs)? If it’s on the product I don’t mind!
