Social media facebook - product images & meta don't show

Hi there

When I copy and paste a product or link from my website shop to facebook the website image shows instead of the product image?

How do we set our shop to always show the product or an image from the shared page?

The title and metadata description also show the home page information instead of the data from the shared page. (screenshot attached)
Is there a way to show the correct title and information?

Ps: When the facebook link is clicked it does take the user to the correct page.

I appreciate your help

Wen

There´s several workarounds and ideas that can help you to create an interesting post.

A) don´t just copy and paste a Product URL to share it without any context. that is not engageing visitors.
B) use model image services to create an appealing post. create an eyecatcher and link from there
C) upload a product feed to your FB page. this allows you to tag any image with your shop products and adds a buying link directly to your graphic
D) simplest solution: upload an image from your shop product write a short informative text and add the link to the bottom of the post.

Hi there

Thanks for the work around tips - I will try them out over the next few days and respond back to you.

PS: I usually do put a description of some sort in my Fb posts as well as add the link - but the attachment post above was just a tester to see how things worked with the links on FB.

In regards to having to use a work around for things to show correctly - Is the initial problem of images and meta data, descriptions not showing correctly when copied and pasted going to be fixed? I’m sure that some visitors to my site will at some stage copy and paste items they like to their own Fb, and it won’t look very professional when the images and data don’t show correctly.

Many thanks

Wen
