Do any of you know why there is no picture of our product when sharing a link on facebook?
We have had a couple of users who have contacted us about this problem.
They want to advertise a product, but only a link with metadata comes up, when sharing.
(I have attached an example)
Unfortunately this behavior is caused by FB’s image crawlers.
If an images wasn´t crawled & shared already, Facebook places an empty prewiew snippet, like the one that you´ve posted. This mostly does not apply to pages that got higher traffic and sharing rates.
By sharing the same product a second time, you´ll probably see that FB may load the preview image as expected. This is something we cannot solve on our end.
You could bypass this by downloading the desired product image create a dedcated post.
