New review process?

Have I missed a recent update to the review process? I run shops on my own website and domain on BOTH the EU and the USA platform.

Last night I uploaded an original design of my own creation (zero copyright violation - I checked first) to both platforms - the design was immediately available in the EU shop but the USA shop shows the design as “pending”.

Are all designs now going through a human review process before being released? I’m perfectly OK with this concept as it will (hopefully) cut down on the amount of copyright violation I see proliferating across all POD platforms (including Spreadshirt) - but it would be great to have been informed of this along with an estimated timeline of the review process.

Did I miss the communication?

Hi @plzLOOK,
don’t worry - for single designs it can take a little longer until they are being published. Actually we do check every design but often after they’ve been published. We want to guarantee you the best flexibility in order to react to trends and just to keep your shop up to date. That wouldn’t be possible with a human eye on every design before it gets published.
So no, you didn’t miss anything - for some designs it just takes a bit longer. :slight_smile:

Interesting - it’s just that I’ve never seen a design showing “pending” before - it’s been like this for 2 days … what does “pending” mean?

“Pending” is like “Waiting” I’d say (but I’m honestly not a native speaker :smile:). In this case it is waiting to be published.

Is there something I should be doing to “publish” it? The one I uploaded straight after that went live immediately - it’s just this one single design that seems to be “stuck”

According to my experience, if the design is not approved in about a quarter of an hour, its status will remain “pending” for a few days and then it will change “rejected”. I hope that this is not the case for you.
If it is rejected, send an email with the design ID to verify@spreadshirt.com and they will review and approve it if it does not violate any conditions.

Many thanks Salama - I’ve never had it before and the design is original and created by me without copyright violation so I hope it’s not the case - I will wait and see what happens!

Well @Salama that’s not necessarily true. In my experience it always switched from “pending” to “published” but of course it can get rejected. But @plzLOOK you can always give me the Design ID and I’ll check with my colleagues, ok?

Many thanks Britta - design ID is 1038929410 on the USA platform (in case that makes a difference) - the design was created by me from scratch and I did check there were not any Copyright violations before I created it.
