Hello,
Is there any update on making the checkout form gender-inclusive? This issue was mentioned in November and it was stated that it would be fixed in the following weeks.
The previous post: Forum - Spreadshop
I made an LGBTQ+, gender-neutral website (I use unisex items in order to not use women/men options) and my tartget customers are all LGBTQ+ people and supporters. But in the checkeout, people are forced to select Mr. or Ms. options mandatorily. Although spreadshirt is a LGBTQ+ friendly company, this is a big contradiction.
- Isn’t it possible to add “ Mx. ” And “ prefer not to say ” options in the form?
- Is it possible to totally remove this question as other POD companies do? Nearly none of big POD companies ask this question. And there are about 9000 different LGBTQ+ designs in spreadshirt.com itself and your related Google rankings are really well.
The thing is, I am contacting LGBTQ+ websites and online magazines to ask if they can feature my website. Too many articles are posted about LGBTQ+ owned clothing brands/websites and my website can also be mentioned among them (I need backlinks and traffic). But this checkout issue creates dissonance and people act like I am fake and they don’t want to mention me as they don’t like the situation in the checkout.
I want to start advertising the site asap. But because of the check out, conversion rates would be very low. And the solution of the problem is urgent for me as I want to be ready for the pride month, making SEO work and will use any money I earn in March and April, in June.
P.S Could you please forward this post to a decision-maker?
thank you very much.
