Instagram shopping disabled

Hi, got a message from instagram. “Your website is not approved for instagram shopping”
Anyone else?

Hey there!

can you please describe the steps that you have taken, or provide us the screenshots of the approval process?

Maybe someone else has recognized that behavior here?

Well i haven’t checked it out that much, but it worked before. From what I understand, I need to verify ownership of the domain and because the domain is spreadshirts I don’t see how I could do that.

Can i send the link to the instructions that i got?

I have checked this right away, and yes… unfortunately IG / FB has changed the way to enable the Shopping feed connection. .
They are now verifying the domain of a Business Account Owner. In that case they want to verify shop.spreadshirt.xx and not the subdirectory, which is your (or everyone’s standalone) Shop Name.

How I read this, it means that standalone shops will not be able to publish products in IG Shops.
BUT I need to have more examples at hand to be 100% sure.
There are not many users complaining about that issue, yet.

One advice I can give is to embedd your shop within a website, so that you can easily verify the URL in the Business Manager of FB ahead, instead of using the verification process from IG.

Yes I was thinking about that, if it works with a embedded shop. Will have to give it a try.
Thanks!

It has happened to others too. Even to those who has embedded the shop, so i guess that wont help either.

heya!

unfortunately that solution also got cancelled today, by feedback from other partners.
We will try to sort out ways of bringing this issue onto roadmaps.

Meanwhile I would suggest the oldschool way of keep on posting and refer to a linktree link in the profile.
