Google Analytics Goal(s)

I have my Spreadshop integrated with a Wordpress site (www.lightenupgear.com) and am looking at running AdWords and Facebook ads to see if I can generate a positive ROI for paid advertising.

When I’m trying to set my goals in Google Analytics and Facebook Events Manager, is there a standard confirmation page that I could use as my goal for users who transact on my site?

Thank you in advance for your time and effort to answer my question.

Cheers,
Erik

Hey there!
You don’t need to specify a confirmation page, or use conversion goals in Google Analytics to measure your ad spend against your sales amount.
The Shop is delivering E-commerce transaction data to your Analytics account by default.

Please do not use goals to measure monetary values like sales within the checkout.
The conversion goal tool is thought to allow you to connect a self-calculated ammount to a self-defined user activity, like visiting destination pages, time on site tracking, pages per visit tracking and event tracking.
E-Commerce is most used for measuring commerce related metrics.

Here´s an example for Analytics Goal measuring:
You offer a PDF as a small marketing gift to your visitors and want to attribute a certain ammount to each download. Let´s say $5.
If file is beeing downloaded by 2 persons, your conversion goal overview will show 2 conversions, worth $10.
While when selling something from your shop, the E-Commerce Data section will show you the exact basket value.
What happens if someone downloads the PDF and buys a shirt?
Well, then you will see a $5 conversion and a $19.99 revenue.
