I am using wordpress for spreadshop but for some reason when i share the product, the product shows the original meta data url which has the image and description from the original post instead of the spreadshop meta data. Why is that? Here are the picture.
It suppose to show the product image and description when sharing on facebook but i got something else.
I even removed the orignal meta data and still not sharing spreadshop meta data.
Hi, as I could see you’re using the Yoast SEO Plugin for wordpress. This creates own open graph meta tags which replace the meta data delivered by the shop. You can also check this if you have a look on the source code of your website. There for example you will find the og:image tag using an URL leading to the image you see in the preview of your FB post.
You would have to deactivate the plugin or at least the meta tags on the page where the shop is embedded. Please also make sure that the updateMetadata value is active. Greetz
