Custom domain. What's the best way

I would like to use a custom domain for my webshop.
So instead of https://shop.spreadshirt.nl/shopname I would like to be able to use https://shopname.nl. Subpabes should also change. (for example: shopname.nl/mannen+t-shirts?q=P24)

What’s the best way to do this?

Wordpress and one of these two plugins:

You can use embed shop javascript code or wordpress or drupal… plugins to build your site
then go to
Shop Settings > Advanced > Embed Shop in Website > Connect your Shop and Website
You have to put the your domain name then all requests will automatically redirect to your site

Having some problems here; I’ve signed up to WordPress for a website, and have a Google Domain ready to go.

But WP is saying I need a business account to install the Spreadshirt plugin? (Over £200)

Any Youtube vid I’ve watched just assumes people know what to do with the coding etc

Do not use wordpress on the wordpress website! Thats the only problem.

Buy a domain or use your google domain (whatever that is). Install wordpress for free in the root folder of your domain and have all wp features for free. Thats the way it works.

instead of installing from wordpress.com please visit https://wordpress.org/. That is the self-hosted WordPress solution, David was pointing at.

If you are not going to use WordPress I suggest to use the javascript code. Works like a charm.

How do I use the JavaScript code?

Hey Tomppa78, it might be easier if you tell us what you would ideally like to see for your store. For example, do you have a domain name already and hosting organised? Have you played around with the Spreadshop store design, you might be comfortable with the layout until you get some more experience? Just a thought.

Yes i have a domain and hosting so i would like to use it. Tryed to use the spreadshop plugin and shortcodes, but only managed to get the homepage to work but not a specifik page using the “deeplink”

Hey @Salama just checked out your site and it looks great. Do you just use the spreadshop plugin or how do you embed your spreadshop into your site?
