Hi all! New to the site and excited to set up my shop. Is it possible to use HTML to add a link in the product description? The artists I’m working with would like a link to their website. Is it also possible to increase the available characters for the descriptions? Thanks for any advice!

Technically you are able to add a link to a product’s descriptions. Unless the link will not be clickable.
But is not recommended, as the informations, you are setting in that field are mainly used to describe what your product is about. This information will be read by search engine crawlers.
If you want to support the artists, you can use your Shop’s “About Us” section and explain to the visitors what these guys are doing for you
